danbury ct real estate: Sales in your neighborhood very much matters! - 02/21/12 02:33 PM
When I meet with perspective home sellers, I always look at what has sold in their neighborhood. Those are going to have the most impact on your home’s house value. Most of time, homes in the neighborhood were built in the same time, have about the same square footage, similar lot size, design and appeal. If you have the most amazing at the house, larger than all other homes, on a premium lot, your home will of course reflect a premium value. I understand that you do not want to give your house away, but you do not want to price yourself out of

danbury ct real estate: Drive and Save Money On a Home in Danbury! - 12/12/11 11:07 AM
A common thing that a lot of my clients want to be is close to the New York State Line on I-84. In most circumstances, if you are willing to commute an extra an 5 to 10 minutes in each direction, further into the Danbury, there can be significant savings. For example, a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath townhome at Kensington Woods, on Larson Drive, next to Exit 2 on I-84, close to the New York State Line, sold for $325,000. The same exact condo at Arlington Woods, located on Sienna Drive, near exit 8 on the east side of Danbury, sold for

danbury ct real estate: Why hasn't this house sold yet? - 10/17/11 10:47 PM
When I am showing properties to buyers, the first thing that they ask me is how many days the house is the on the market for. Often times, they are wondering why the house is still on the market. A number of things are determine how long a home is on the market for. -The house could have a previous deal fall through because of mortgage issues, inspection items, buyers couldn’t their home required to purchase this home or any other of issues. -The seller could have had previous offers that were not accepted. - The home doesn’t show well due to clutter,

danbury ct real estate: Location or House in Danbury,CT - 03/25/11 05:00 PM
The old adage, location or house still plays in works in Danbury. Almost all of my clients are looking to move no further than exit 3 on I-84 because they think it is too ‘far’ to going toward exit 5 or 7. However, for most of their property needs simply because either the type of home they want isn’t built on that side of town or the price would be too high. It is your decision on where you want to live. Commuting on a few more minutes into town isn’t going make much more of an impact if you are

When is the right time for you to move up? Only you know when the right time for you to sell your current home and upgrade into a larger home. Some things to think about are: -The only quiet space area you have in your current house is in the furnace room. -The room that was going to be just your home office is working as the office, gym, guest room and game room. -You have to wait in line to use a bathroom -You feel your neighborhood is changing, and is becoming not the right area to call home for
