The popular Foundry Artist Studios at the New Village Arts Theater, founded in 2009, hosts regular artist receptions which are always a visual delight.
This Thursday, June 27, the Foundry is having a reception and art exhibit entitled “Take 5” in Carlsbad Village from 5 until 8 pm.
While you might initially think of Dave Brubeck and other artists who have recorded this song, the exhibit is named Take 5 because of the 5 objects all 14 artists had to incorporate into their creations - a fork, a fish, a (6 comments)

The current exhibition, Entre Tinta y Lucha: 45 Years of Self-Help Graphics and Art, is another winner, and well worth a visit (“Between Ink and Struggle/Fight…”).

The current exhibition, House and Home, was of particular interest to me…guess why?! House and Home is a traveling exhibit that has been adapted from an exhibit at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, and focuses on the artistic, cultural, and social history of the America house and what transforms it into a home!
