The 1st Carlsbad Village Treasure Hunt, sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association, is underway but there's still plenty of time to participate. If you enjoy a good scavenger hunt you might find this right up your alley.
From November 13 through November 29, Carlsbad residents can take part in the Carlsbad Treasure Hunt and explore some historical sites, find new places to dine, discover local businesses, and more in Carlsbad Village. And you may win one of the prizes – a total of $1000 worth!

As they have for the last 4 years, the Carlsbad Village Association sponsored a contest for retailers in the Village and invited them to decorate their windows for the holidays. 35 merchants took up the challenge and participated.
Voting took place between November 30th and December 16th. Residents voted online for the People’s Choice Award, with 402 votes cast. The People's Choice winner was Handel’s Ice Cream.
Two other winners were selected: one by 2 City Council Members (Cory Schumacher and Priya Bhat-Patel), with the top nod to Carlsbad Village Music, and the second, the (10 comments)

The popular Shop with the Chef dinner series on the 4th Wednesday of each summer month is returning this year.
A limited number of guests can join Chef Brad of The Compass in Carlsbad Village on June 27 and August 22 as he gets inspired and shops for local ingredients at our popular Carlsbad Farmers Market on State Street.
And you may also pick up some good shopping tips, e.g., what certified organic really means.

The Carlsbad Village Association (see photo above from their website) sponsored a contest for merchants in the Village to decorate their windows for the holidays in 2017, with voting from December 2 through the 18th for the People’s Choice winner; there were a total of 1338 votes cast by Carlsbad residents.
Two other winners were selected: one by 2 City Council Members (Cory Schumacher and Keith Blackburn), and the second by the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad. You can read more about the contest here.

It’s almost time for the Taste of Carlsbad Village and it’s sure to be a fun and tasty time.
Tasting events have gotten very popular in our area, and the Taste of Carlsbad Village is no exception.
You’ll have the opportunity to spend 3 hours on THURSDAY OCTOBER 12 from 5 until 8:30 pm tasting your way around our charming Village, enjoying samples from more than 25 different well-known and popular restaurants.
You can also enjoy craft beer and wine from 10 Sip Stops around town (21 and over only, of course!).
The holiday season is a terrific opportunity for retailers in the Village to show off their window-dressing talents, and the Carlsbad Village Association is hosting a contest. There’s still time to vote for the 34 shops that are participating for the People’s Choice Award.
It may not be Rodeo Drive, the Miracle Mile, Worth Avenue, Newbury Street or 5th Avenue, but there are some pretty attractive store fronts to enjoy in Carlsbad Village.
