I wrote an article some time ago about the exciting plans for the new Whole Foods Market coming to Encinitas. At the time there was still lots of debate (and there are still many folks that are not in favor, for a variety of reasons) and concerns remain about the impact on traffic, and the changing landscape of this popular coastal town.

I visited one of my fave restaurants in the Carlsbad area last night, Le Papagayo, in Leucadia (Encinitas) and heard a terrific Cuban band for the first time.

I love this band…and I think you will too, if you like the sound of traditional Cuban music, vocal harmonies, the pulse of congas and timbales (not the food, silly), and the melodies of the spanish guitar.
