NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME? HERE'S HOW!
While this may seem rather obvious, in this day and age of technology, and busy lives, it seemed appropriate to share how you can get in touch with me.
Communication with prospective, current and past clients is key to being successful, and I know that being able to get in touch with me, for whatever reason, is a priority for you.
Different forms of communication suit differing purposes and individual styles. So while I use all of them, it's important I communicate with you in a manner that works best and suits … (59 comments)

facebook: Why I Hate Social Media! And You Probably Do Too But Won't Admit it! - 09/30/09 12:32 AM
Like so many I've joined all the popular social media sites, and some not so popular ones.
I've spent countless hours adding profiles, uploading photos, adding videos, and sharing personal information and I've had it. I hear there's a point to all this, but quite honestly, I have grown to hate social media.
Here's why:
THERE ARE TOO MANY SOCIAL MEDIA SITES - every time I think I am on all the right ones, another one makes an appearance, and I feel obligated to join. My spreadsheet for tracking sites, log ins, and passwords is totally beyond control and impossible to maintain. … (108 comments)

facebook: Social Media and Your Business - Tips, Strategies and No Nos!! - 09/23/09 12:19 AM
I spoke to the Rancho Santa Fe Business and Professional Women's Association last week about blogging and social media. This is a diverse group of business owners, including real estate professionals, with a broad range of knowledge and experience about on-line marketing (and a fabulous group to network with if you are in the North County San Diego area).
I talked briefly about social media and how it worked to start, and then shared some notions about:
WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA WILL NOT DO!
Transform your business if it is crummy ( a Linda Davis "almost"quote from Bloggers Connect) Make you a … (108 comments)

facebook: The Skills of a Web 2.0 Practitioner - 03/21/09 04:41 PM
The last several years have seen unprecedented advances in the use of the Internet, and many people have discovered numerous ways technology can alter their personal and business lives.
With these technological advances has come the opportunity to acquire, and use, new skills.
As REALTORs in a customer service business that has increasingly become more competitive, these skills can lead to new marketing techniques, novel ways of developing and maintaining relationships, and foster the attitude that technology can serve (often, but not always) to make business and personal life simpler and easier to manage.
With that, however, has come the expectation … (34 comments)

facebook: If You Snooze You May Lose - Build Those Relationships On-Line and Off-Line - 03/06/09 01:57 AM
Building relationships is a fact of life in our business, and its foundation.
Without them you won't get far in terms of buyers and sellers.  Maintenance is pretty important, too. If you don't work on keeping your relationships, they will fade away - referrals will disappear and your wonderful clients will forget you even exist.
There are a myriad of ways to build relationships, and lots of different ones. Here are just a few:
Prospective buyers and sellers - Current/past buyer and seller clients
Escrow and title officers - Mortgage brokers and banks - Attorneys
Home inspectors - Relocation companies
Trades … (69 comments)

facebook: Buyers and Sellers: Check Out That Agent Before You Hire - 01/08/09 04:31 PM
So you need to hire a REALTOR to help you with selling and/or buying a home?
If you have a referral from someone that you really trust, then perhaps you are all set. Getting a recommendation from friends and neighbors can be a good way to learn about local REALTORS who are qualified to help you.
But oftentimes you need to do some research before you make a decision on who to hire to help with the biggest purchase or sale of your life. There are lots of ways these days to get the scoop on agents out there before decision time.

facebook: Are YOU a Friend? Do you Want to Be? Or Are You Unfriendly? - 12/27/08 03:37 AM
We all have special people we refer to as friends - folks we have known for year, our spouses and partners, those people on whom we know we can depend and want to spend time with, and so on. Friends are people we regard with affection and trust, and enjoy socializing with, those who play an important role in our lives in many ways.
Why there even was a well-known and very popular sitcom about Friends, and a number of websites dedicated to this popular series.

The whole notion of what a friend is has taken on a rather different … (41 comments)
