I may be pushing it a bit here to call these "evergreen art" but I thought they were pretty impressive.
Not as fascinating as bonsai, perhaps, but some interesting shapes. At least I got 50% of that right.
The first 4 photos were taken in San Marcos; the last 2 in Carlsbad.
I tend to take note of how the landscaping is maintained when touring condo complexes.

I am a big fan of sushi, so an invitation to lunch at Love Boat Sushi in San Marcos was most welcome.
There are a ton of restaurants in San Marcos, and Love Boat Sushi is well worth a visit, plus they offer other dishes on their lunch menu as well (chicken, noodles, beef) in case you are not a fan of sushi.
Of course they are best known in San Diego for their sushi, and Love Boat Sushi does it very well.

The Saint Petka Serbian Orthodox Church in San Marcos is a stunning piece of architecture.
I first saw it a few months ago when showing property in the area, and it was not an opportune time to snap any photos. But the location was quite striking, and it just sort of appeared out of nowhere as I was driving down the road.
I happened by Saint Petka again yesterday on the way back from showings in the area and had to stop.
Not only is the building itself dramatic, but the backdrop of the mountains provides an ethereal look.

Of the San Marcos Restaurants I have enjoyed, the Market St. Café and French Bakery is a winner.
I was introduced to the Market St. Café a year or two ago by good friends, and we had several wonderful meals there...a pleasant surprise given what seems to be a wealth of chain and fast food San Marcos restaurants. Their half price wine night is a real treat and a deal! I took some clients there for lunch and they, too, thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere on their outdoor patio.

San Francisco has its Twin Peaks; Hollywood created Twin Peaks (the TV serial drama); and San Marcos has Double Peak.
Double Peak Park in San Marcos just opened, with much acclaim, and I took a peak a few days ago.
At 1644 feet (and one of the highest points in San Diego county), the unobstructed 360-degree views from the top of this newly opened park are incredible, even on a hazy day when I was there. Better than the views atop Mt. Soledad in La Jolla which are darned impressive.

Don't we all have those small fix-it chores that need to be done but just don't have the time, or perhaps the skills, to take care of them?
More importantly - what about seniors, who may physically be unable to keep up with the basic maintenance issues of homeownership or have safety concerns, but who wish to remain in their homes?
