The Hawai‘i Humane Society understands the importance of Pet Friendly communities and supporting Pet Friendly Property Managers in accommodating renters and their pets. The life enhancing qualities of interacting with a pet is well known, as well as, the unconditional love and companionship that pets can provide. On O‘ahu 60% of households have a pet yet many property managers and investors consider pet friendly rentals to be too risky and not worth the effort. I would not necessarily disagree with their assertion considering the cost associated with replacing damaged interiors.
