When it comes to supporting the non-human members of our greater O'ahu 'Ohana, donating a little of one's money, time, and talents to the Hawaiian Humane Society can help a lot in improving the quality of life for our entire community.
Host a pet food/ supply drive: when individuals and groups donate pet foods the Hawaiian Humane Society can devote more of its resources to animal protection and saving lives. To drop off food donations go to 2700 Waialae Avenue at the Hawaiian Humane Society temporary collections container or the Admissions center day or night.

lunar new year celebrations: Celebrating Chinese New Years Customs and Traditions

The Chinese New Year celebrations here in Hawai‘i are filled with customs that are both familiar and somewhat quizzical. These videos give a little incite into how these traditions came about and the meaning behind the celebratory cacophony we enjoy over the Lunar New Year Celebrations here in Honolulu.
The Year of The Rooster promises plenty to look forward to in the months and this February is looking to be very properous indeed.
