Saturday, Jan. 3 the Anacortes High School Key Clug will pick up your old Christmas trees and wreaths. They do this in hopes taht you will donate canned food for the food bank or make a $5 donation to Key Club.
To participate, put your tree out by 8 a.m with your donation!

For those of you that are in Washington state looking outside of your window frustrated with the storm...I offer these photos to remind you that someone is in worse shape that you. Here is a garage that had a pipe in the attic space that was not insulated.
One more reason to make sure that you hire a really good home inspector. There will be lots of leaking pipes in the next few days If your home is vacant make sure someone checks on it!

Anacortes, WA Shannon Point Marine Center Gets Two Grants! The National Science Foundation greanted Western Washington University's Shannon Point Marine Center two more grants. One of the grants will study the effect of climate change on sea anemones.
The second grant helps provide funding to minority students in order to diversify professionals in the marine science field.
Western Washington University's Shannon Point Marine Center is located in Anacortes, WA on the west side of Fidalgo Island.

What? Something good to report on Anacortes Home for Sale?
There were 2 more Anacortes Homes sold in Sept. 2008 than in Sept. 2007 in Anacortes, WA. Last year there were 20 Anacortes Homes sold while this year there were 22! Last year one of those Anacortes Homes was over one million dollars and this year there were 2!
