The boats travel up Guemes Channel from Can Sante Boat Haven to just past Lourvic's and then back to Cap Sante. The events grows each year with more boats and usually Santa is on one of the boats.
La Conner and Anacortes boaters can meet up and form a line in Fidalgo Bay outside of Cap Sante Boat Haven.

After more than 35 Anacortes city council, commissioner and subcommittee meetings and public hearings, there is still no answer to the $64,000 question....or should I say 50,000 square feet question? Should the city of Anacortes allow retail buildings larger than 50,000 square feet in the Commercial Marine area of Anacortes?
The great debate will continue through 2009 requiring more work by city staff, planning commissioners and city councilors.
