I have had a listing for a couple of months now. This property is needs a minimum of $110,000 worth of repairs. My market is pretty strong for the most part. I have had 2 offers at $500,000. This property is not worth much more than that! It is listed for $549,000. The seller is getting more realistic but losing buyers who will pay the price because he is chasing the market instead of being ahead of the market. I was born and raised in Alameda as my granfather was a Commander in the Navy and stationed at the Alameda Naval Air Station which has be closed for a few years. It has changed a lot since I was a little girl! lived on Bay Farm Island (which is not an island) and took a school bus over the Bay Farm Island Bridge to school. These days the schools do not have money for sports and have cut back on curricular courses. The city is now renovating the Alameda Theater back to its historic look!
