Well it has happened to me again, I have been bitten by fire ants.  I do not know how something so small can hurt so bad. Does anyone know of a quick cure for fire ant bites?  They seem to bother me for up to three weeks on end. What will do if they keep on multipling?

Gas prices are on the rise again. We here in the upstate of South Carolina have had the lowest gas prices in the nation for a while now, but I guess we have the storm Gustav to thank for this. My prayers are with those in the path and I wish them the best.

We had a chance to get away this weekend, and are spending tonight in beautiful Hilton Head. It is realy a beautiful place. Everything is so green unlike back home where we are in the middle of one of our worst droughts. Well I'll get some rest so I can get back at it on Tuesday.

It is so nice to have a holiday weekend, but so sad to see the end of summer, however here in South Carolina we  will have a very warm September. We are out of town and hope to just get some much needed rest for the next couple of days. Hope everyone else will be able to do the same.

Well we have had a 'wedding weekend', getting a niece married. What a beautiful wedding! And not to mention the fun we have had hanging out with our family. I wish Kristin and Tyler the very best, and wish them a long and happy life togather. Our next wedding will be in October. Can't wait

Well today we got our first good rain in about a month. We had almost two inches in our rain gadge tonight. I am so sorry for all the people who were and are still being flooded with down pours, and I am not sure which is the worst, too much or not enough.....
