The "Blues Traveler", a Blues Rock Star will be performing in Hot Springs on July 14, 2007 at the Magic Springs Timberwood Amphitheater.  The Blues Rock Star is popular for hits such as "Run-Around" and "Hook".

It looks like it's a great time to buy a home on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs now!  For the past several years, we have watched the prices continously go up for a home on Lake Hamilton, and buyers that "remember when" have been in sticker shot for quite some time.  Then developers began to buy up any large piece of property on the lake that they could find available to build lakefront homes and condominiums.  Now, it seems that prices are starting to level out due to the overabundance of lakefront homes available.

Miss Arkansas Pageant held in Hot Springs - 06/24/07 06:33 PM
The Miss Arkansas Pageant was held Saturday night at the Summit Arena in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Katie Bailey of Conway captured the crown of Miss Arkansas 2007.  Our Miss Hot Springs, Lauren English, grand-daughter of our friends from Magnolia, Arkansas (Jack and Olga English) did a wonderful job in the competition and was named in the top 10 of the pageant.  Congrats to all!

The Arkansas Business Journal just released the statistics for the Real Estate Firms in Arkansas, and ranked them by volume of sales.  Trademark Real Estate, Inc. ranked No. Ten in the State of Arkansas with the total sales volume at $182 million in 2006 with only 35 Agents.

The Luxury Home Marketing class was offered in Houston, Texas this week for Realtors.  We were able to attend & had a wonderful time networking with some of the Texas agents, and also enjoyed meeting Laurie Moore-Moore (the instructor of the course).

Having a power outage at one of the Hot Springs' top attractions make headlines across the world, not to mention being the topic of David Letterman's Top Ten list.

Hot Springs received national attention this week!  The crew from HGTV recently came to Hot Springs, and filmed highlights of the city along with four homes in our lovely spa city.  We were excited to see that the home priced in the $600,000 was one of our waterfront home listings, owned by a really nice couple from California.  This home is located in an exclusive neighborhood called Driftwood Point, and is absolutely gorgeous!  We recently sold the home for about $600,000 and the couple then returned home to California. … (0 comments)

The tranquility and natural beauty of the great outdoors and national parks are the inspirations for "public Domain," which is the theme of the Hot Springs Music Festival that kicked off Sunday, and will continue through Saturday, June 16th.
Richard Rosenberg, the festival's artistic director, said he designed the programming for this year's entertainment with nature in mind.  "We were greatly honored to be selected by Hot Springs National Park as one of its partner organizations for the park's 175th anniversary celebration," he said.

Thousands of roaring Harley-Davidson motorcycles will soon roll into Hot Springs for the 15th Annual Arkansas State Harley-Davidson Owners Group Rally, which returns this year after a brief hiatus.

A young girl finds a tea-colored 2.93-carat stone at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas this week.  So far this year, visitors to the park have found 332 diamonds.
Crater of Diamonds State Park is the world's only diamond-producing site open to the public, and visitors are allowed to keep the gems they find.  On average, two diamonds are found each day at the park.

Gas Prices Continue to Slide Downward in Arkansas - 06/03/07 09:15 AM
The average price of gasoline in Arkansas continued its downward slide June 1, 2007, while a gallon of unleaded gas remained below the $3 mark in the Texarkana area.  The average price of unleaded gas in the state was $3.08 a gallon, down a penny from the day before and down 10 cents from the record high set on May 22, 2007.
The national average also dropped a cent on June 1, 2007 to $3.18 per gallon, according to the AAA, formerly the American Automobile Association.

Hot Springs Creek Greenway is progressing toward its final destination on the shores of Lake Hamilton slowly but surely.  The newest section, a one-fifth mile long asphalt trail, was dedicated in a ceremony June 1, 2007.  This section of trail is the first of two sections that will be known as Hollywood Trail, which begins at the Rotary Centennial Trailhead across from Hollywood Park.  When complete it will end at Chelsea Street and have two neighborhood connections at Euclid and Bellview streets.  The new trail covers a little more than one quarter of a mile and provides a scenic overlook of … (0 comments)

Half-cent Sales Tax Ends Today in Hot Springs - 06/01/07 09:24 AM
Hot Springs shoppers will pay less at the cash register today.  The half-cent, citywide sales tax that Hot Springs voters approved 12 years ago - initially to fund construction of the Hot Springs Convention Center, then Summit Arena - has ended.
The city asked the state to stop collection of the tax in April, when it had sufficient funds on hand to pay off the bonds.  Because of the 60-day lag time inherent in the notification process, the tax did not expire until May 31, 2007.
