Zeus - A a best friend and member of the Daley family for a short thirteen years and a bit.
Zeus was born December 3, 1995, he was just a fluff ball when we saw him at a breeders ranch in California when he was just 4 weeks old.  They were expecting us so when we pulled up to their yard all the pups were out in the yard playing. We got out of the car and immediately walked over to the pups.

It has been rumored that short sales are getting more difficult to get closed, and that the lenders' willingness to postpone foreclosures has waned considerably, and it appears that now we have the proof.
In the month of September, short sale closings fell from the previous market share of 32%, to 24% of closings for the month.

Gold futures ended this past week at an all-time high (nominally, but not if inflation is factored in). On Friday, the December contract (purchase price for gold that will be delivered in December) rose to a record $1317.80. Considering that an ounce of gold fetched $700 in 2007, it has been appreciating at a remarkably rapid rate: well over 300% in the last decade. There is some great news in the market this week!
Every time I think that interest rates couldn't possibly go any lower, they prove me wrong!  What an incredible opportunity for buyers to purchase more house for the same amount of money due to unbelievably historically low interest rates!  We have had a slight swell in the market in recent weeks, so there is certainly inventory to choose from.
Sales for the past twelve months have outpaced sales for the same twelve month period last year by 9% and by 42% for the twelve month period prior to that.

OVERVIEW ~ September 13 through 17 ~ Interest rates, which had begun to rise slightly in recent weeks, declined slightly during the week at hand. The 10-year Treasury note began the week at 2.795% and settled in small steps to a low of 2.746% by Friday's close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), meanwhile, rose from 10462.77 at Monday's open to 10607.85 at Friday's close. There has been speculation about "shadow inventory," or properties already foreclosed upon by lenders that have not yet been actively placed on the market, for the past two years.  According to County records, there are currently 13,634 such properties, not the 30,000 or more that had been suggested in the rumor mills.
As we have observed over the past few weeks, inventory is making a slight swell, and absorption is decreasing slightly (although data indicates that August was an improved month for sales over July).  Typically, a balanced market is considered to be approximately 5.5 months of supply in inventory.  Inventory … (0 comments)
