The average sales price is actually up from the same period on year ago. but the listed average is down and the number of units availible is almost double for the same period.

Buyers in Dutchess county and their realtors still have not heard that the town of Hyde Park has great prices, lots of histoical places such as the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Home and Library, Norrie State Park and Marina, Vanderbilt Mansion, Staatsburg Mansion and Historic Site, Eleanor Roosevelts Val-Kill, and FDR's hide away Top cottage and lets not forget The Culinary Institute of America!  Plenty of good homes abound in great family neighborhoods.  The schools?  I would suggest that you do your research as over 90% of the high school seniors go on to college as reported earlier by Hudson Valley Magazine.  So … (0 comments)

Yes you need one, not just residents of Wappingers Falls but all residents should have one.  The days of drinking from a stream are over and you just can not tell from looking at or smelling the water.  The tests can be expense but a smart Realtor will assist you in building that cost into the cost or pricing of your home.  Smith Labs in Hyde Park is a very reputable company and has very reasonable turnaround times.  Testing your water in advance will assist you in heading off any issues with a buyer.  if you have a problem you can … (4 comments)
