How To Keep a Door From Closing By Itself - 10/30/09 10:07 AM
I have had a door in my home not stay open it closes on its own. My husband read in Popular Mechanics that if you take one of the hing pins out hit it with a hammer or used a vise and put a bend in the pin it will cause friction and the door will stay open. It in fact does work and I wanted to pass it on.

It is that time again. Everyone needs to replace your batteries in you smoke detectors this weekend when you change your clocks. You need to do it before going to bed this Saturday night. It's a safety tip that save lives. The change from daylight saving time to standard time is a good reminder to replace smoke detector batteries. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, and clocks are to be turned back one hour. (Fall; fall back / spring; spring ahead) At this time of year remember to have your fireplace services as well. Freddy Hill Farms Fall Fest 2009 - 10/26/09 07:12 PM
The parking lot was so full this past weekend they were parked on 63. They have had the fest for 25 years. The tours are 1/12 hour long. The tours are Tuesday thru Friday the cost is $6.50 person. Also they have 2 miniature golf courses, a driving range, batting cages, a farm zoo, homemade ice cream and fresh milk from Freddy Hills cows.

It's official: The moment New York Mets fans have dreaded for months has finally come to fruition. Mets fans are going to need to find something that will keep them sane for the next six to night days, as their two biggest rivals, the Phillies and Yankees, square off in their nightmare World Series. They should avoid listening to the radio, watching television, reading the newspapers and scaling high bridges. A trip to Kazakhstan, where baseball isn't exactly the national pastime, could be the best and only solution. Everywhere else, the ghosts of Jimmy Rollins and Derek Jeter might follow. Phillies beat Dodgers 10-4 in game 5 and advance to the World Series. the defending champs are proving last year was no fluke and looking even more dangerous this time around. After beating Tampa Bay in last year's World Series, the Phillies are trying to become the first repeat champions from the NL since the Cincinnati Reds in 1975-76. Due to extreme cold, windy and wet weather, Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day opening ceremonies and the first day of walking scheduled for Friday has been canceled, organizers said Thursday.

On Sunday, October 11th, the Dedication/Open House begins at 1:00p.m. A brief ceremony will be held in the gym featuring the Big Red Marching Band and select choir. A Certified H1N1 Vaccine Center Will Be Souderton School District - 10/08/09 06:49 PM
Swine Flu (H1N1), October 2009Souderton School District has an update on H1N1 preparations. As you may be aware, the vaccine for the H1N1 will soon be available. In fact, vaccinations for heath care workers have begun. The District has filed the necessary paperwork to become a certified H1N1 vaccine center. They are waiting to hear confirmation on the status as a vaccine center. Once they receive confirmation, they will begin the process of notifying parents and establishing a schedule for parents to have their child vaccinated.
