How To Keep a Door From Closing By Itself - 10/30/09 10:07 AM
I have had a door in my home not stay open it closes on its own.
My husband read in Popular Mechanics that if you take one of the hing pins out hit it with a hammer or used a vise and put a bend in the pin it will cause friction and the door will stay open.
It in fact does work and I wanted to pass it on.

It is that time again.
Everyone needs to replace your batteries in you smoke detectors this weekend when you change your clocks. You need to do it before going to bed this Saturday night. It's a safety tip that save lives.
The change from daylight saving time to standard time is a good reminder to replace smoke detector batteries. Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, and clocks are to be turned back one hour.

Freddy Hill Farms Fall Fest 2009 - 10/26/09 07:12 PM
The parking lot was so full this past weekend they were parked on 63.
They have had the fest for 25 years. The tours are 1/12 hour long. The tours are Tuesday thru Friday the cost is $6.50 person.
Also they have 2 miniature golf courses, a driving range, batting cages, a farm zoo, homemade ice cream and fresh milk from Freddy Hills cows.

Due to extreme cold, windy and wet weather, Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day opening ceremonies and the first day of walking scheduled for Friday has been canceled, organizers said Thursday.
 
Organizers noted their main priority was to ensure the safety and welfare of the participants. After consultation with medical and safety experts, a delay of the event was determined to be the most appropriate action.

On Sunday, October 11th, the Dedication/Open House begins at 1:00p.m. A brief ceremony will be held in the gym featuring the Big Red Marching Band and select choir. Self-guided or student led tours will be available during and/or after the ceremony. Please allow adequate time to enter the high school property, park, and meet in the gym. Swine Flu (H1N1), October 2009Souderton School District has an update on H1N1 preparations. As you may be aware, the vaccine for the H1N1 will soon be available. In fact, vaccinations for heath care workers have begun.
The District has filed the necessary paperwork to become a certified H1N1 vaccine center. They are waiting to hear confirmation on the status as a vaccine center. Once they receive confirmation, they will begin the process of notifying parents and establishing a schedule for parents to have their child vaccinated.
