Ice damming is ice that forms and works its way back up to the roof line. Problems occur when the snow begins to melt from the heat of the house and exposure to higher temperatures during the day.
The best solution is proper insulation.
 
 Although icicles look nice when they dangle from the side of a house, they are often a sign of an ice dam, and that's no good. Ice dams form on gutters and can cause roofs to leak.

Emerald Lake 2500 square foot, 100,000 gallon outdoor pool and tennis complex on Cedar Drive was completed by the developer in 1971. The Association has added heat in 1999 to temper the cold well water and lengthen the season slightly.
