bad closings: FHA mortgages -- Why are so many consumers having approval issues??? - 04/17/08 02:55 PM

Is your current lender giving you the run-around? Have you been told that you should have the approval or the commitment letter any day now? And it's been 7 to 12 days now. Was this the same lender that told you 30 days ago, that they could get your loan done and now they are asking for more information?

bad closings: Why loan problems should not be known last minute....... - 08/08/07 07:19 AM

This seems to be a growing problem within the mortgage industry. Mortgage closings that don't close on time. What kills me are the excuses that lenders use when giving the bad news, usually last minute. Key disclaimer, yes, things do happen that are not of anyones control at times. But what is the percentage between these that are delayed by the inevitable and those because the lender fumbled the deal.
