florida mortgages: FHA loans vs Conventional loans - Even with 20% down, FHA home loans could be better - 05/23/10 01:40 PM
FHA loans have become very popular in the last 2 years and there are several reasons for this. What I hate hearing is that FHA mortgages have taken the spot of the subprime loans. This is not true at all. This statement is from those that are inexperienced in both the mortgage and the real estate industries. To many subprime loans should have gone FHA and that is just a fact. But why are FHA loans getting bad press now, stating that they are the most defaulted loans recently? Read this : We should ABOLISH FHA loans... In

florida mortgages: Energy Efficient Mortgages - EEM loans - FHA loans offering green mortgages !!! - 06/22/09 10:46 AM

And keep in mind, there is a longer list of items such as lighting, appliances, etc, etc, that could reduce your expenses. Overall, there are specific types of mortgages that allow you to incorporate the costs of these upgrades into your mortgage, without coming out of pocket with extra monies. And this can be done not only with purchases, but with refinances. And

florida mortgages: Renting vs Buying -- Knowing your loan options -- Part 3 of 3 - 10/28/08 09:56 PM
So, you have been told that you qualify for a home. You are so excited, just thinking about this daily. You finally will own your own home with a piece of property. To be a proud homeowner. You have been told by many to just ask for a 30 year fixed rate. Maybe you don't have much money to work with. Maybe you have 30% to put down on the property. You actually know that this is a starter home and that you will probably only be in the house for 4 to 5 years, because you would also

florida mortgages: Mortgage Process - Purchase CHECKLIST prior to purchasing a home - Part 1 of 3 - 02/11/08 09:45 AM
Okay, you truly feel that you could be in the market to purchase a home in the next year, possibly in the next 6 months, or you decided to look into it now. You feel like it shouldn't be that hard, that you have decent credit and that you can prove your income. In reality, after doing mortgages for over 15 years, it shouldn't matter what you think. With the ever changing world of mortgages, you should try to be semi prepared before jumping right into it. Especially if your credit is less than perfect. So, what should

florida mortgages: Relocating to New Jersey-- Canadians relocating or anywhere else? Real estate & Mortgages.... - 01/06/08 08:50 PM
It doesn't matter if you are moving from California, Canada, Florida, from the east coast to the west coast, etc, etc. But not only will you need the services of a good realtor to help you with unfamiliar territory, you will need the services of a very good loan officer. Keep in mind, even though you will be living in that house, may it be with a small family or a large family, you want to feel secure when it comes to your finances. As carefully as you select your realtor, you want
