Mortgage Myth Busters
Have a mortgage question and keep getting conflicting answers and or information? I get Trulia alerts for my state and about 70% of the time, there are both loan officers and or realtors answering mortgage questions that have misleading or completely wrong answers. It's not to say that any of us are perfect and or know it all... but I can say one thing, if I am not 100% sure, I seek the answer through the proper channels. Those channels would be my underwriters or the guidelines/manuals for such programs and or mortgage questions. … (12 comments)

Trying to understand the mortgage process or all of the different programs, it is hard enough. But when you either read or hear different answers regarding the same issue at hand, it can really be confusing. Who do you believe? Do you believe the three people that gave the same answer, and not trust the person that gave the lone answer that is actually correct.
There are just so many questions in regards to mortgages of which consumers and realtors search for places to ask such questions. My problem from searching the internet is that I have seen some really bad, … (6 comments)

Are you a consumer with some questions, but not sure who to ask?
Are you a realtor who has questions or scenarios, and possibly work with a good loan officer, but could use some extra feedback?
You have some outside sites such as Trulia, Zillow, or even Active Rain, to where you can ask such questions? But what happens if you get like 7 answers and 3 of them are varying or different. There are just so many questions in regards to mortgages of which consumers and realtors search for places to ask such questions. My problem from searching the internet is that I have seen some really bad, false, or misleading answers to such questions. Sometimes even answered by those that aren't even in the mortgage business. I have seen this happen so many times on sites such as Trulia and or Zillow. These sites allow anyone to answer mortgage related questions. How many times is a client left in the dark? Clueless, because they don't ask the right questions? That they have been told they have been pre-qualified. As a client, you are like.....Great....Awesome.... Fantastic.... now I am ready to buy that $200,000 house.
But wait, your realtor wants you to talk to their lender. That person starts to ask more questions. Oh my god..... the client is now upset with you, the lender, because they now realize ...... for more, please read this.
