How do we view ourselves? How does the public view us, our profiles, and anything else that they read?
Are we that desperate to 'rope' the consumers business into our back yard per se by such statements as :
"I have the lowest rates" "We charge no closing costs" "I will get the best price for your house, guaranteed" "I am the best and cheapest, I will beat anyone's pricing" So let's do a reality check here. Don't let your lender confuse you with definitions of certain fees. It's amazing how some loan officers will define such fees, especially when explaining what an origination fee is. In regards to conventional loans, most companies just put their points under discount points. Sometimes you will see a lender place nothing under origination or discount points, but under broker fee. And then you have the FHA origination fee.
Definition: Origination Fee
A fee related to establishing your mortgage. The exact use can be unclear, but the fee ultimately compensates your lender or broker for putting your loan in place. This is from … (14 comments)

Do you ever not have enough ammunition when heading into battle? Never!! For some of you, I been in the mortgage industry for over 14 1/2 years. To me, that’s a lot of miles per se.
I consider myself well versed when it comes to FHA mortgages and I guess you could say an expert on them. But this is not the only thing that I do. Wow, no closing costs, what a great deal. Well, yes, because you won't have to come to the closing table with hardly any money out of your pocket. Just watch out for catchy phrases. They can bury you, just as if you were buried under a pile of rocks. That you can't dig yourself out of this.
