Anyone following this series knows that this is a must win, a do or die win, for the Philadelphia Phillies. The Giants Sanchez is a good pitcher, but I think Oswalt is a tad better. The biggest thing, the Phillies bats need to really come alive and not make this a pitching match up.

Well, the Philadelphia Phillies could find themselves in a slight hole, being down 2 games to 1. The Phillies didn't win 97 games for nothing, tops in the Major League. And for the fact that they had many players hurt throughout half the season. But let's put excuses behind us. The Phillies will need to hit tonight. They need some of their power hitters to hit some home runs also. Most of all, to play small ball.

I am getting to this a tad to late.. the game starts in 30 minutes....but what excitement in Philadelphia and in San Francisco. And talk about another good pitching match up today, with Cole Hamels for Philly and Cain for San Fran. Right now, the Phillies are tied up 1 game a piece with the Giants. Sunday's night game was not a must win for the Phillies, since this is a best of 7 game series, but you might have well called it a … (4 comments)

Well, the Philadelphia Eagles played a very good game today to beat the Atlanta Falcons. Hoping that the Philadelphia Phillies can do the same tonight, as 8 pm in Philadelphia, Pa. Yes, the Fightin Phils lost a heart breaker last night, 4-3. And a lot of it had to do with Cody Ross hitting two solo home runs for the Giants. Jason Werth had a 2 run home run and a total of 2 hits. Tonight, we have another good pitching match up.

I have been a die hard Phillies fan since the mid 1970's and I have been loving it the last 3 years. If Philadelphia wins the NLCS against the Giants, the Phillies would be the first team since the Cardinals of '42-'44 to win three consecutive National League Championships.
