Business is picking up, It is the spring selling season here in Panama City.
This week has been a whirlwind with 2 new listings, 2 closings and 3 accepted offers and one waiting to get accepted just today alone. Along with that, I got another short sale approved today. I closed another short sale today but it did not close without any issues. Today I was ready to go to my closing and get this monkey off of my sellers back. When we sent the HUD1 in for approval, the lender decides that they are not going to pay for the sellers title policy even though they agreed to do so previously. What in the heck are they thinking, it was 995 dollars!!!! After several attempts to contact the lender to discuss, they finally approved it. It seems like everytime we turn around, agents are talking about short sales or there are local classes at the board or title companies. 99% of the time, those that attend only hear what they want to hear or the person teaching the class is just trying to sell their services. I for one an getting quite tired of the HYPE and misinformation about short sales.
