Search folders are "virtual folders", in other words, they don't actually hold the emails but they contain views of all e-mail items matching your search criteria.
Save CHUNKS fo time...You may have seen these and really paid no attention to them...Email Search folders.  These are handy and can save you chunks of time -  allowing you to filter your emails and view them quickly.

* Not Everyone will Receive Your Request * How to Ask for a Receipt * Change Outlook's Default Settings to Give You More Control
