Helping the first time buyer

Newly married couples often don't know where to start when they're ready to purchase their first hone. So when a client of mine referred me to a first time buyer, I was eager to start then out in the right foot.

The couple knew a lit about what they wanted in a house, but not nearly as much about what they could afford or what homes were available in their desired area. During our Initial Consultation, I spent a lit of time discovering what was important to them about owing a home. When we were clear on their goals and dreams. I referred thin to my Mortgage Consultant to get them pre-approved, and then we were off to locate their little slice of paradise. Now, they reside in a two-bedroom house in the heart of a wonderful community- their first goal accomplished.

commercial creep in Naperville

At times I think the politicians of Naperville have forgotten the reasons people move to Naperville. People move to Naperville because on the quality of life. As a Realtor I here every day people conplaining about the traffic and congestion on the roads. Naperville seems addicted to strip malls and more shopping opportunities. Those in power say that this is what the people want. Is our internet fast paced life style corrupted us so we cannot live without a Starbucks or Walgreens .2 miles away form the next one? If our citizens do not stand up for the quality of life in Naperville we love so much, every green space will be a commercial building.

Agent Assist 5.0 Agent Planning Software

I found a great new tool for real estate agents called AGENT ASSIST 5.0. This program is a full featured planning tool for agents. It allows agents to plan for success. It is great to want to be successful. However, if you do not have a map to get you there you are spinning your wheels. It allows you to plan for future success based on your current results.

Aurora Real Estate

Aurora, in my opinion is one of the highest "value for money" cities in the area. The homes are beautiful. The town continues to build services and parks for the community that draws home buyers. Aurora has faired very well during the mass assault of the media to over-hype the market correction we are going through. YTD average sales price for detached single family homes in Aurora is only down -3.5%. The number of homes sold is down a staggering 22.8%.

Naperville Real Estate

As we continue to get bombarded by the media about how bad the real estate market looks, the fact simply appear. In the most recent statistics posted by the RWSSC(our regional Realtor board) the housing market in Naperville is alive and well. If fact the average sale price of detached single family homes is up 2.4% YTD from last year. However, the number of homes sold YTD is down almost 14%. All of this in the midst of a lender meltdown.

As we all know most Realtors are working extra hard for their clients to continue the upward trend for their clients. Let's all start spreading some of the good news!

Naperville Realestate

As a real estate professional in Naperville, it is amazing the amount of misinformation that is circulating regarding the state of the industry. I should not be suprised that the media shapes the "reality" we live within.

Let's face it, Naperville is a great place to live. Whether the market is up or down the public still needs a good place to raise a family. The media, the market, nor the financial markets can change this fact. Having a nice place to live will never go out of style.

Think about the home upgrade possibilities available to the consumer. Years back you probably sold your home for top dollar. However, you paid top dollar for the next property. Now days you may not sell for top dollar, but on the flip side your savings on the buy side are exponential.

The water is warm. Jump in!

I have been following the news information for some time on the subject of real estate short sales. I work in the western suburbs of Chicago. The media makes it sound like we are at epidemic levels. Yet when I talk to my attorney friends who do real estate closings they report doing a few here and there. Any thoughts?
