I would like to invite everyone to my new subdivision Skyler's Court.  Sooner Traditions is the developer and builder in the subdivision.  We have homes that are new construction in the Edmond school system ranging from 1300sf to 1800sf.  Our price points are even better, we can get you into a new home for $144,900 to $180,000.   Feel free to call me to schedule an appointment to view some of our homes.

Real Estate always seems to come up when I am speaking to my nieghbors.  The questions are usually the same asking what current homes are listed for and what are they selling for.  So for all of my friends and all of those who are interested in our community here are the most recent statistics for the last 60 days.

I am currently being asked why there are 17 homes available for sale in our subdivision and why they  are sitting on the market and not selling.  Our average price per SqFt for active listings is 83.32 and yet our properties that have sold in the last 60 days have sold at an average of 73.20 per SqFt.  There is a hint of what could be part of the problem.  There is much more to selling a home... proper pricing, location, local market, functional obsolescence etc.  Also, if you own a 2 story or tri-level there is a big difference in comparable sales and establishing a price that will attract buyers to your home.  If your home has not sold and you would like to know what we do to sell a home give us a call for our opinion on why your home may not have sold and what we think you should do if you want to sell your home.

Tree Damage

These are pictures in the Windsor Hills Addition located in Central Oklahoma City.  The storm came in on Saturday December 8th.  Interestingly you could hear the trees snapping and crashing to the ground, along with the transformers on the poles humming and poping as the electricity was going out.  To count we are at 250,000 homes without electricity and we still have the possiblity of more ice and high winds up to 25-50 miles per hour.  The last ice storm we had was in 2002, I believe 2007 has done the most damage to date.

Interestingly the tree companies are out in the droves distributing flyers.  It will be a good year for the tree trimmers!

Please join us on December 16th at 8300 NW 111th for our Open House in Eagle Ridge.  We will be serving fresh pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and hot apple cider.  Thanks for your warm response to Leigh and I and we look forward to seeing you Sunday the 16th.
