greater lansing: Taken advantage of and it was my own fault. - 07/05/08 08:12 PM

I guess I am more gullible than I thought.

Over the winter I had an evergreen tree come down at a rental house I owned. I hadn't had it taken care of yet when I received a call from a local who was short money and was willing to work cheap. I hired him to take care of the tree for what was a very reasonable fee. Two weeks later more storms in Michigan and another tree down at the same property. This time it was much larger. I know that sports are not what schools are all about but I still enjoy watching the games and the kid's accomplishments. Williamston Schools have enjoyed a phenomenal success this past school year. This small town in the East suburbs of Lansing has won 5 state titles with 1 still to be decided. This past fall the Boys Cross Country team won a state championship (they have been 1st or 2nd 7 out of the last 8 years and the only year they weren't 1st or 2nd they were 3rd or 4th). What a great place to live!
The Greater Lansing Area is centrally located in the southern half of the lower peninsula. Lansing is located within 75 miles of almost all of the other larger cities in Michigan, I can travel just about an hour to go watch the world class Red Wings and Pistons. I can drive just a little over an hour to watch the Detroit Tigers and then go to the casinos or have a great dinner.
