In October 2011, the sleepy town of Fort Mill was abuzz with the energy from having one of it's finest communities as host of the HomeArama 2011. Over 8000 visitors attended the event that lasted only 16 days and was very well-received.....the community that was honored was Baxter Village and it's gorgeous River District.

This spacious section of Baxter Village is a custom section that will have a total of 52 homes at completion, and as of today (March 14, 2012), there are only ELEVEN opportunities remaining for buyers who would like to call this area home. Baxter Village has … (1 comments)

baxter village real estate: Seller Paid Closing Costs...The Reality! - 05/25/11 03:41 PM
Over the past few weeks, I have been deep in negotiations for both buyers and sellers and have had alot of questions about how much $$ a seller can truly contribute to closing costs for a buyer. So, I went to my favorite lender, Geoff Brown with New American Mortgage to find out the details.....
Here is what he has to share:
How much can the seller contribute towards the closing costs of a buyer? This has become increasingly important in today’s lending landscape where many clients have pulled together the money for down payment but don’t have the additional funds … (3 comments)

baxter village real estate: Yes....It Snows in Charlotte! - 12/27/10 07:28 AM
I get this question alot when clients come in from out of state to look at the area. "Jen, does it ever snow here?" My answer is always the same as it definitely depends upon the year...I can remember years when Christmas was a 70 degree day and we could ride our bikes in short sleeves and other years when it is cold, but moderate and then there was this year: A WHITE & Beautiful CHRISTMAS!
The snow started on Christmas night and when we all woke up the next day, we were covered in a blanket of beautiful snow which was great for … (2 comments)

baxter village real estate: Quick Daytrip to Crowder's Mountain! - 11/01/10 08:31 AM
Last Sunday, my husband and I decided that it was such a beautiful Fall day that we should go for a hike to enjoy the changing leaves on the trees and the moderate temperatures. We definitely wanted to visit the mountains, yet, we did not want to drive more than an hour to get there. I did some quick research on google, and I found that Crowder's Mountain State Park was less than a one hour drive from the Charlotte area. So, we packed our bags with some water and snacks and hit the road.
The drive was extremely quick via I-85, and we arrived with … (0 comments)
