Avondale Estates Christmas Tour of Homes will be Sunday, December 12th, 2010 from 3-8 pm. Visitors will tour unique Avondale Estates homes decorated for the season.
This year there will be a trolley to take visitors to the homes on tour. Pick up the trolley between two Points of Interest - the Avondale Baptist Church (showcasing nativities from around the world) and The Museum School.

The 38th Annual Inman Park Festival is this weekend, Saturday, April 25, 2009 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, 2009 11a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Parade is Saturday at 2 p.m. This event is fun for the whole family. The parade is a colorful mix of everything. It's led by the Inman Park butterfly, followed by marching bands, floats, art cars, politicians, drill teams, mascots, clowns, jugglers, and many more, closed by the Inman Park Trash Queen riding aloft a city street sweeper. The 2009 Druid Hills Home and Garden Tour will be on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, April 19, from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m.
Druid Hills is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Druid Hills Historic District incorporates the previously listed Druid Hills Parks and Parkways Historic District. It is a beautiful area filled with tree lined streets and wonderful old homes.

On Tuesday March 24th, the Washington Park and Valley Brook neighborhoods in Decatur will be holding an Open House for real estate Agents to come out and tour our listings. From 11:30 am to 3 pm we will be open with refreshments and drawings. Washington Park is a hidden gem in Decatur, GA off of Lawrencville Hwy between North Druid Hills Rd and Dekalb Industrial Way. The weather should be great. Come out and see this little known neighborhood!
Dekalb County even has a small park there, also known as Washington Park with picnic pavilion, grill and playground.

The Avondale Estates Christmas Tour of Homes will be Sunday December 14th from 3-8 pm. Visitors will tour unique Avondale Estates homes decorated for the season. On the tour this year is one of the newer homes in Avondale that was renovated by new owners who added their touch by changing the original master suite to an office, the original garage to the new master suite and an unfinished area to a fabulous media room. Tonight I was out showing homes here in Decatur, GA and showed a vacant listing. I had called the agent beforehand so I knew the power would be on at the house. I met my clients at the house and thankfully our new electronic keys have a built in flashlight. I used that to see to get the key in the door.
Especially if you are selling a vacant home, it would be a good idea to put a dusk to dawn attachment (It goes on at dusk and off at dawn automatically) onto your exterior light fixtures. This way at least the doorway … (7 comments)

Decatur's Annual Holiday Candlelight Tour of Homes is coming up. This year's tour features homes with the theme of "Living Green." Take the free Cliff shuttle from home to home, and to several points of interest. Proceeds from the tour benefit the Decatur Youth Fund and the Decatur Preservation Alliance. It will be Friday December 5th and Saturday December 6th, 2008 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
