I spent the evening as an audience member at a Carmel town board meeting. Over a year ago I was asked as Chamber of Commerce president to be a part of an ad-hoc committee to help decide how to spend some money given to the town through state and federal funds. The thought was to spend it on the downtown Mahopac area. I am proud to say a year later many different projects are in the works such as cross walks, potential parkinglot,and even completed projects such as flower baskets throughout the area and park and a revamping of the park.
