This Saturday, October 13, 2007 is the Taste of Georgetown from 11 am to 4 pm in Georgetown, located in Northwest, Washington, DC. There will be approximately 25 restaurants participating. Individual tasting tickets are $5 and a pack of 5 tickets is $20 (prices subject to change).
Avoid the traffic - PARKING IS CHALLENGING IN GEORGETOWN. You can ride the Georgetown Metro Connection for FREE from 10 am to 5 pm. Since it still feels like Summer in October, consider visiting Occoquan Park in Lorton, Virginia off of Route 95 south. You can also enjoy Occoquan water trail, a 40 mile route along two tributary waterways of the Chesapeake Bay, along 10,000 acres.
The park has athletic fields, batting cage, boating and fishing. The park also has plenty of room for a picnic on the grass or at one of their many picnic tables.

The National Zoo has Boo At the Zoo October 26th, 27th and 28th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. If you take the Metro the zoo is on the red line at the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan stop.
