This season we have had higher than normal temperatures.  However, now that the temperatures are dropping and we have had our first snow, it is time to remember the importance of winterizing your home, if you have not done so already. 
Gutters clogged with leaves and other debris can cause serious problems if there is snow and/or ice.  Burst pipes can cause thousands of dollars.  It is possible that your insurance company will not accept the claim if you did not shut off the hose bibs.
