Last year we visited PumpkinTown in East Hampton, CT. It was so much fun that we visited again this year...Free during the week there is a small admission fee on weekends.
A fun place to bring the family (no dogs allowed) and celebrate fall and Halloween. There are an assortment of sheds and small buildings all made up to look like a town. There is the famous fast food burger place, a church, a jail, a post office etc. The residents of the town are Pumpkin people and they all have very creative names pertaining to vegetables and other produce.

Some people accept downtime and free time gracefully, I do not. I am not one for just sitting around, not on a beach, not on a couch-not anywhere. My husband can attest to my inability to simply ‘relax' and do nothing.
Recently things have slowed down for me and I've had some time to fill. What better way to utilize this time but to learn more about my career. Not the dreaded ‘stuck in class all day in a windowless room' but real life application.

The season for land buyers has begun. Spring is just around the corner and people know it's a good time to finalize plans to build that new house.

What is the best way to get new agents? I have blogged about what agents look for in a Brokerage, that was helpful and now I need to find agents.
I've run ads, have an 'agents wanted' block on my site, the agent I have now is helping to spread the word as well. At one point I called the local community college who had a real estate licensing class in hopes I could leave info with them that they could hand out at the final class. After calling repeatedly and leaving messages I let it go. (My time is better spent working with my clients.)
