After receiving an e-mail alert I did something I've never done before. I made a call, to the governor's office.
There is a bill waiting for Governor Rell's signature, SB 499 to be exact. It is a small but important step in the right direction in discouraging the sale of puppy mill dogs. One of the first questions I'm often asked from prospective agents is, "how many listings do you have?" Since this is a question with no right or wrong answer I simply tell them. Thus far the answer has been in the single digits and I'm quite happy with this. You may be asking yourself, "Why the heck are you happy with so few listings?" It's true, some real estate agents have dozens of listings-we all work differently.
