myrtle beach expert: Not all Surprises are Good! - 08/29/08 12:30 PM
This past week my three month old daughter began giggling and laughing at different things. One of things I have been working with her on is playing peek-a-boo. Now when I play peek-a-boo and surprise her, her face lights up and she smiles large. You can see below how much she loves getting surprised by it. There are other types of surprises we may experience in life that are just wonderful. Things like a surprise Birthday Party, being surprised you are becoming a grandparent, or someone surprising you with a gift. However in real estate, surprises are not

myrtle beach expert: Selling as a FSBO Can Cost More Than a Commission - 08/29/08 11:41 AM
As a Real Estate Agent I hear all types of Horror Stories about deals that have gone bad, and all types of crazy things that have happened. One of the couples that was helped by our real estate team had one of these stories. They were a nice couple, looking to sell their beautiful home on a golf course. Home had excellent view, had been meticulously taken care of, and was in "model home" condition. These people contacted us because they were in a major dilemma and after sharing it with a neighbor who were former clients of ours, urged them

myrtle beach expert: Hancock at Grand 14 Cinema- The Market Common, Myrtle Beach, SC - 08/21/08 02:14 PM
Over the weekend we made a journey over to The Market Common in Myrtle Beach to check out all of the surroundings and also watch a movie. My wife and I had seen the previews for Hancock and had also heard a lot of good reviews from friends, so we decided to check it out. Normally we head north to catch a movie, but since we live in The Farm at Carolina Forest which is so centrally located, it was no big deal to head south. As we arrived at the theater, my wife grabbed the tickets as I parked

myrtle beach expert: The Pros & Cons of a Homeowners Association - 08/15/08 04:15 PM
Myrtle Beach Real Estate has become rather accustomed to Homeowners Associations. I would imagine more than half of the communities in our area now have some sort of association. Here are a few advantages and disadvantages to Homeowners Associations or HOA's. First, lets discuss some advantages: 1. Get better rates on common utilities. Although what is included in your monthly fee greatly varies, if it includes a utility you normally are getting a

Cobblestone is a quaint community made up of 1BR/1BA units located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, SC. The location of these units along with their prices make Cobblestone an extremely popular neighborhood. Each unit has full kitchen that includes, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, & garbage disposal. There is also a stackable washer/dryer found in every unit. Square footage is just over 500. Another great feature of Cobblestone are the large rear balconies/porches with attached storage unit. The buildings are all brick construction and there is a wonderful community pool. The biggest attraction of Cobblestone is its location. Nestled conveniently off

myrtle beach expert: 5 Tips on How to Handle Difficult Phone Calls - 08/12/08 12:12 PM
We all experience the seller who calls to complain about their property not selling. We also experience the angry buyer who can't believe they didn't accept his offer. Sometimes they call at the most inopportune times. How do we handle these calls? Our goal when an unhappy person is on the other end of the phone is to calm them down and figure a way to remove their complaint as quick as possible. Well before I address how to deal with them, I think it is a good idea to give you an example of what NOT to do. This is
