We have been having some pretty severe weather here in the Kansas City area. We are above average on our snowfall this month. The cold weather can put a damper on showings and we were concerned about it.
Shoveling and fighting slick streets can sure make one crabby. Sellers aren't crazy about having people track snow and salt through their house. All you feel like doing is hibernating.
Well, who would have guessed that we would get a decent number of showings in spite of the weather! There sure are some intrepid buyer's agents and potential buyers out there.
One buyer's agent even shoveled the snow at one of our vacant listings. Now that is just too nice to be true!
Many homes in the Kansas City area have fireplaces. It is such a nice touch when we are able to schedule a showing so that the sellers can have the fireplace going. It sets a nice, cozy atmosphere in the home. I think photos should always be taken with the fire roaring.
We are also adding listings and are looking forward to retaking photos when the snow eventually melts.
This is going to be the best winter ever. I hope yours is too.
