Jerry Ruzicka the Broker at Just Right Realty Company is helping out the community besides running his company and training his Sales Associates.

Jerry is a member of Elks Lodge # 2596 in Cape Coral, FL. and the chairman for The Childrens Drug Awareness Program. 

On  June 4 Jerry had attended and taken an active part in the Lee County Coalition For A Drug Free Southwest Florida.  Jerry along with his co-chairs Tom Schulz and Rich Hechler manned a booth at the large convention held at Harborside Convention Center in Fort Myers. Talking with the speakers and attendees regarding the Elks Lodge and our participatiuon in Drug Awreness for Children. We got many good ideas from the speakers and attendees to better run our program.

On June 11 Jerry,Tom, and Rich delivered 6 new basketballs to the Wm 'Bill" Austen Youth Center in Cape Coral, Fl. Those kids were overjoyed to get these professional size new basketballs.

In July the Elks are having a Drug Awareness poster contest for children ages 5-10. The kids are drawing them in July and we will judge them in August. We have 3 age goups wit prizes for each age group as follows: Gift Certificates, 1st $50.00  2nd $35.00 3rd $25.00 all participants will receive a certificate for drawing a poster. we are going to have approximately 500 posters to judge. If anybody wishes to help in the judging please contact me. The judging will be at Cape Coral Elks Lodge August 15 at 7:00 PM.

Does anybody have any suggestions for additional opportunities to help kids get educated regarding drugs and alcohol?
