Pitt Community Collge continues to grow, this year with the growth of 10% over last year makes it the most crowded campus of the states 58 community colleges. As the county budget season approches the college is asking the county to keep this growth in mind. The giant leap in enrollment at PCC during the past three years have left students scrambling for classes. Its important to keep up with growth to provide the needed facilities for the students and programs. By Jimmy RyalsThe Daily ReflectorWednesday, August 29, 2007 Pitt Community College trustees have chosen a contractor to build a scaled-down student center on campus. Farmville-based Farrior & Sons won the $6.4 million contract for the first phase of construction on the Craig Goess Student Center. The State Board of Community Colleges and State Construction Office have to approve the contract before it becomes official, said Susan Everett, PCC vice president for Administrative Services. Farrior & Sons' $5.8 million bid was the lowest of six submitted for the project. The other $600,000 allocated for the building goes into a contingency fund, Everett said. College officials trimmed
