Dutchess County Fair Rhinebeck New York Starts August 24th Now that everyone knows where Rhinebeck New York is, here is another opportunity to come for a visit. Tuesday August 24th is the start of the 165th year of our County Fair. The Dutchess County Fair is held at the Dutchess County Fairground located on Route 9 in Rhinebeck New York.
Attendees at the Fair come from all over the region, and I think last year saw a record attendance. With the present economic climate, many can no longer afford to take a vacation like in years gone by; this is a perfect chance for family … (11 comments)

You know the summer is whining down when the Dutch County Fair rolls around. This week if you were in the Red Hook and Rhinebeck area, you would have seen trucks bringing the rides and other equipment to the Fairgrounds.
Just yesterday I was going through the toll booth in Kingston and I noticed a truck heading to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. I was fascinated as to how it was going to make it through the toll booth it was so high; to my surprise it did, just barely.
With the present economic condition I suspect more consumers are supporting local events instead of taking a vacation … (5 comments)

It is that time of year again when the Fair comes to town. The Dutchess County Fair is one of the most popular Fair in New York State and why not, once you visit this region you will keep coming back.
This year the Fair will be held from August 25-30 so you need to start making your plans if you are planning to attend. The entertainment You can purchase discounted admission tickets at local supermarkets as long as the purchase is in advance. Today was the second day of the Dutchess County Fair. A friend and I decided to spend the afternoon checking it out. We could not have asked for better weather, and since it was midweek we did not expect it to be so crowded but it was.
My friend and I wondered why it was so crowded and two reasons came to mind.
With the present economic condition many could not afford to take a vacation and the fair provided an inexpensive way of getting some entertainment in the form of rides, talent show, musical acts, animal shows and competition, exhibitions etc. … (10 comments)

The annual Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck NY will be held on August 19th-24th this year. Now would be a great time to make your plans. Why not turn this into a mini-vacation considering there are so many other things to see in the area.
To save on admission cost you will need to buy your tickets ahead of time. Right now if you buy the tickets at some of the local supermarkets or on the Ducthess County Fair Site you can get them for $9.00 a saving of $3 dollars which really adds up if you have a large family. If … (10 comments)

The 162nd Dutchess County fair began on Tuesday August 21st. The first day was not so great because of bad weather but since then it has gotten progressively better.
I had not gone to the Fair in years but decided to go with my son today, and we certainly had a great time. In the past we always attended on the weekend because of work schedule, now I realise we would have had a much better time going during the week since it is less crowded then.
