A Penny for your thoughts- what will it take to get the housing market back on track?
Interest rates are at all-time lows. Home values have been falling for many months and may be near bottom in some markets. If we were talking about stocks, with these conditions in place, people would find the money to buy low hoping to sell as the stock price rises. Why are homes still not being viewed as investment opportunities?

Foreclosure is a word we can't escape.  Today while conducting real estate transactions the question as to how many foreclosures are in a neighborhood often comes up. While you may know this information for a particular neighborhood in your market it is also interesting to look at larger areas.
Patchwork Nation is a site that will show you how many foreclosure there are per 1000 in a congressional district in any state.

Hardly a day goes by and we don't hear of another program to assist homeowners who might be facing foreclosure.  There is so much information out there, that it can be overwhelming or difficult trying to figure out what's real and what is a scam.
