greigs farm: Time to go Blueberry picking in Red Hook NY - I did. - 07/12/08 12:08 AM

Even Realtors need to take a break now and then. So recently my son asked me to go blueberry picking. This is something I have done for years with my family. So we got in the car and headed to one of the nearby farms.
Greig Farm has long been a favorite day trip destination for those in the NYC area. Adjacent to the farm are the Gigi Market, Allison Vinyards and Grandiflora Nursery. Check the picking schedule below for what is in season now.

Countless reasons to visit Dutchess County New York.
This time of year my son and I look forward to picking berries and right in my backyard I can get blackberries. I was going to Westchester on Tuesday and decided to bring blueberries for a relative so I went down the street to the local pick your own farm.
Greig's Farm has been around for many decades and people have come from as far as New York City to pick berries during the summer months. In June strawberries are available.
