home energy assistance program: How to get heating assistance in the Mid Hudson Valley this season - 11/24/07 06:34 PM

With the rising heating cost, heating the home this winter is a major concern for many in the Mid Hudson Valley region.
Did you know there is a Federal program which gives funds to the States to help low-income families, the elderly and disabled to meet their energy needs? The program is known as HEAP which stands for Home Energy Assistance Program. New York State makes sure that this money is filtered down to the counties.
