There were actually the same number of sales (4) but that was where the comparison ended. The range of the homes sold in November 2009 was $150,000-$400,000 with an average sale price of $236,500. Fast forward a year and the number of homes sold in Red Hook NY in November 2010 was also 4 with price ranging from $362,300-$2,900,000 with an average sale of price … (5 comments)

Barns are an important feature of the history of the Hudson Valley. This Hudson Valley Dutch Barn in Red Hook, New York is a popular photography subject; and I have had the opportunity to photograph it in several seasons.
Because some of the farmland in the area was sold off, some barns have been converted for other purposes. However due to the historical nature of many of these barns, there are organizations dedicated to the preservation of this segment of American history.
