Most experts and real estate professionals agree that the current economic conditions make it difficult to have confidence in the state of the industry. That was especially true of the 362 TREND members who responded to a recent survey about the spring real estate market. Many real estate professionals didn't expect the burst of action that typically signifies the spring season to last. They expected little or no growth in the market. Of those who took the survey:

Fresh off the heels of the City Septa workers strike and now that buses, subways, and trolleys are running again , SEPTA riders can brace for the next big event: a rate increase. SEPTA is Philadelphia's transit system.
SEPTA has been planning to increase fares in 2010 ever since it last boosted them in 2007. Regular smaller increases are better, SEPTA officials maintain, than infrequent big increases.
The day is drawing closer. Raises likely would be scheduled to take effect around July 1, the start of the agency's 2011 fiscal year.

Renovation of the Manderach Memorial Playground Area set to begin SEPTEMBER 28, 2009.. Due to these renovations, the Manderach Memorial Playground will be completed closed Monday, September 28, 2009 and remain closed until Spring of 2010. Along with new playground equipment, a Memorial Clubhouse will be designed using some of the original playground equipment as a tribute to the volunteers who built the playground. First time home buyers purchasing any kind of home—new or resale—are eligible for the tax credit. To qualify for the tax credit, a home purchase must occur on or after April 9, 2008 and before July 1, 2009. For the purposes of the tax credit, the purchase date is the date when closing occurs.
