I was recently involved a transaction that became a nightmare because of an attorney. My clients made an offer on a property went through inspections and we were set to close in one week. They were very excited to be in their first home! I saw early on that there may be a problem at closing because the names on the sale contract did not match the names recorded with the county as the owners. I requested that the title search be done early so we could avoid having a delayed closing. The title company ran the search and found out that (5 comments)

Fairfield Ohio After this spacious countryside community just 18 miles north of Cincinnati was "discovered," Fairfield became a successful blend of industrial and residential development.
Because it offered excellent employment opportunities, newcomers were drawn in numbers. Consequently, in as little as seven years, the population doubled and Fairfield became a thriving city. Development here is so continuous that even older homes have an appearance of newness. Large one and two-story homes are plentiful and multiple dwelling units offer condominium living in a parklike setting. There are also a number of custom designs (1 comments)
Oxford, Ohio - 04/20/07 12:10 PM
Oxford began as a planned village in the early 1800's when Miami University was formed through an act of the Ohio Legislature in the Northwest Territory. The McGuffey Museum, registered as a National Historic Landmark, honors the significance of William Holmes McGuffey, author of the famed McGuffey Eclectic Readers. For such a small town, Oxford is rich in history and has become the center for culture and intellectual pursuits in the area. A scenic 35-mile drive northwest of Cincinnati and 45 miles southwest of Dayton in Butler County, 22,000 residents fill the nearly (1 comments)

I have heard a lot of talk about email addresses lately. A lot of people have the opinion that a email not connected to your broker is a good thing. Some of these people are commenting that you can get you own email at your own domain for 50.00 a year. Well here is a less expensive solution. AOL offers a free email account at your selection of domain names. This sounds like a better way to go. We all know how tight marketing money can be and why pay for something if you can get it for free? Make Up Your (8 comments)
Please Watch Your Comments - 04/16/07 05:51 AM
Thankfully notifies us of new comments on our Blogs. Over the weekend there were so many comments added to my blog advertising on line drugs and inappropriate web sights. I for one would not like to see my name associated in a professional level with this type of advertising. Just a heads up keep an eye on you past posts for this type of activity. By the way maybe Active Rain can come up with a way to make unregister user comments require an approval before they show up on our blog. Computer Backups Almost everyone who uses a computer knows the importance of regularly backing up his or her data files. With the latest technology, you can back up files to a device that's so small you can carry it with you. This little device is called a Flash drive. You can store from 2 megabytes up to 64 gigabytes of information on a small Flash memory chip. The chip is encased inside a small plastic protector that can be carried in a pocket, attached as a key fob, or on a lanyard. The most common use of Flash drives is to transport (0 comments)

Hard to show properties - 04/08/07 10:21 AM
Recently an agent put a property on the market that she had purchased. It was an investment type property-- a duplex that needed to rehabbed but the price was right. She was offering the property of 8,900.00! The only problem was that to show the property you had to go to the office to get the keys! Thats right the keys were at the office. That would not normally be a major obstacle but the office was 35 miles from the property! Would you make a 140 trip to show one property that was on the market for 8,900.00? I (10 comments)
