How I made a video slideshow in 5 minutes - 09/22/07 03:18 PM
I made the video slideshow below online in less than 5 minutes-including posting it onto my blog! And it was free! I made it using Animoto, a FREE video slideshow making tool online. While I don't think these would be that good for trying to show off a property as they are more artistic, they are a nice change from the usual slide shows that everyone else has and might be good for slideshows about a neighborhood or an event. Oh, and the video slideshows aren't just for your blog either-there are several options of what you can do when you

BlogRush: Increase your PageRank? - 09/21/07 11:04 AM
I've installed BlogRush, and I know a lot of others are installing it from ActiveRain to boost traffic to their blog. (If you need step-by-step instructions on how to install it on your ActiveRain blog, view this post. To Add BlogRush to your own blog, sign-up at the BlogRush site.). The question is, will BlogRush effect your PageRank? Directly, the answer is no. Since all Google can see is same javascript block that you pasted into your page, and that is all it will see on other BlogRush users' pages, there is no "link juice" to contribute to your PageRank directly. So how do

More traffic than your blog can handle? And it's free? - 09/20/07 04:43 PM
I just posted this to a forum on blogging and thought the 'greater blog community' might benefit from it also. That's one of the postings I read about BlogRush. I've decided to give it a shot. The price is right (it's free). BlogRush is a 'widget' that you place on your blog. The widget displays other articles on other blogs that are of similar subject matter. You get 'points' for impressions and clicks. Those 'points' in turn determine how much your blog is promoted on other blogs who have the BlogRush widget (you get traffic to your blog). You also get 'referral'

Londoner's Eyeing the Miami Condo Market? - 09/19/07 07:23 PM
Originally published in my Miami Condo blog on 19 September 2007. I was searching for reading material online today and came across an article that mentioned the Miami condo market. This article presents and interesting scenario from across the pond in London. I'll just quote the article to get it right: On my frequent travels to the U.K., I am often asked for real estate tips from Londoners who want to buy a piece of the American dream. Who can blame them, since we are willing to sell our dreams so cheaply? It seems that the collapse of real estate prices in

Brickell Condo Slump - Miami Today - 09/12/07 11:06 AM
I came across this article in Miami Today this morning and thought I'd share the link. What Brickell condo slump? Developer adds units. an excerpt from the article:"A congested Brickell condo market [...] isn't deterring Mr. Renzi, he said. The city's residential market "always bounces back," he said. "Miami and other cities may have an oversupply, but it depends on location. When you look at the Biscayne Corridor and see that thousands of units are in the pipeline, that is a problem I see coming. A good location in the middle of Brickell will do well." The entire article can be read on the

Originally posted on my Miami Condo Blog on 8 September 2007. So, you're considering investing in a condo here in sunny South Florida! Miami Condo Bust or Buying Opportunity? - 09/11/07 12:37 AM
Originall posted on my Miami Condo blog on 7 September 2007 It's no secret that the brakes have been applied on the Miami Condo boom. The overly exuberant condo market which flourished in the first half of the decade created an unprecedented building spree-a spree which now finds itself without the aggressive purchasing trends which create it. From Biscayne Bay to Coconut Grove It's a tougher time to be a condo developer in Miami, but it's not all bad. While there is more inventory on the market and sales cycles have lengthened, what most real estate agents and developers will tell you is

Coral Gables Thrives in Troublesome Miami Real Estate Market - 09/11/07 12:26 AM
Originally posted on my Miami Condo Blog on 9 September 2007. With the news abuzz with tales of nightmarish situations for both real estate owners and real estate developers in the metropolitan Miami area, it's worth nothing that highly desirable areas can be relatively immune to deteriorating market conditions. In the greater Miami area, one example of a resilient area is Coral Gables. Sales data indicates that the average selling price in Coral Gables rose from $1.2 million to $1.4 million, posting a $200,000 increase. During the same period, the greater Miami market posted declining numbers. What makes Coral Gables different?First off,
