Well, it is that time again.  For some, it is a time to let their feelings be known and cast their vote for who they would like to see run for office.
For MANY others it is a time to continue complaining and whining and not do anything about it.
For a few others, it is a time of anger and frustration because they can not vote in a primary because they are independent or Libertarian, etc...
It was reported in our local paper this morning that in 2009 only 17% of our local voters voted.
17%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

york pa: Assembly To Honor Veterans in York, PA! - 11/05/08 11:55 PM
I just read in our local Community Courier that there will be an assembly to honor veterans.
It will take place at the Christian School of York at 907 Greenbriar Rd. in York.  This is the 2nd annual veterans assembly to be held there.
It will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11th to honor veterans and active duty military personnel.
All veterans and their families, active duty and their families and families of those lost in Iraq are invited to attend.  It does not say anything about Afghanistan or any other conflicts but I say if you are a veteran … (2 comments)

york pa: Do You Know Any Veterans? - 02/24/08 11:03 AM
Something that is really on my heart lately is the need to talk about our war veterans.  Yes, you might be against the war, and that doesn't matter.  What matters is they need our support while away but as importantly when they come home, if they are fortunate enough to do so.
I don't think a lot of people understand what these men and women (usually young), have many issues they need to deal with (ones we have NO idea about) even if they come home unharmed physically.  And to make matters worse, they come home and see the kinds of things we are complaining … (6 comments)

In the York PA area, real estate is a great investment right now!
1. Prices are lower than they were.  A lot of sellers have been dropping there prices sometimes as much as $20,000!
2. Rates are still low , for now.  If you have good credit and enough cash for 5% down, you can get a great rate!
3.  This is a great area to live!  That is why our area is growing and has been for the last few years!
4.  There are plenty of houses to choose from!

york pa: Thursday After Super Tuesday - 02/07/08 02:43 AM
Super Tuesday or Fat Tuesday?  How many people were concerned more about one or the other?  It actually looks like our PA primary might mean something this time around.  It isn't until April 22, but at this point no candidates have enough delagates to claim a nomination.  What a close race for both parties!
Just remember to do your part and get out there and vote!  We don't have a voice if we don't get out there and we can't complain if we don't let our votes be heard!
