I Leave My Card Everywhere. - 07/16/11 11:02 PM

Several years ago my marketing guru convinced me to leave my business card everywhere I went. I left one at a restaurant and my waitress gave it to her mom and dad who were looking for a condo and then needed to sell their ocean-view home. Total sales of both transactions was $1,539,000. Out & About San Diego with Jim Frimmer, Your Mission Valley Realtor — 2011 San Diego LGBT Pride Weekend - 07/16/11 11:34 AM

2011 San Diego LGBT Pride Weekend
San Diego LGBT Pride Weekend is here! Even in a conservative county like San Diego, we celebrate diversity, and the San Diego LGBT Pride Weekend is the only four-day LGBT event in the nation. It is also San Diego's largest civic event, with upwards of 200,000 people lining the streets for the LGBT Pride Parade (that's where I'll be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today!) and attending the Saturday/Sunday LGBT Pride Festival in San Diego's crown jewel, Balboa Park.

Out & About San Diego with Jim Frimmer, Your Mission Valley Realtor — California beaches are free! - 07/14/11 10:20 PM

California beaches are free!
Contrary to some efforts by the extraordinarily rich and famous, the California Coastal Act of 1976 ensures that California's beaches remain accessible to the public. FREE!
Many of the rich and famous — especially in areas such as Malibu just north of Los Angeles, as well as La Jolla, Encinitas, Del Mar, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, and other exclusive enclaves here in San Diego County — don't like the the half-naked public traipsing — and even playing in! — the water and sand in front of their ocean view windows.

Foreclosure auctions to end at San Diego Superior Courthouse steps - 07/12/11 04:03 PM

Foreclosure auctions to endat San Diego Superior Courthouse steps
Foreclosure auctions on courthouse steps have a long history in California and throughout the country because foreclosures used to be, and in many states still are, conducted under the purview of the Courts. California is primarily a non-judicial foreclosure state, which means that the Courts typically are not involved with foreclosures.
Superior Court Judge Kevin A. Enright signed a Court Order on July 1 that will terminate foreclosure auctions, also called trustee sales, effective September 1, 2011. That means the last day for auctions at the courthouse steps will be August 31, … (10 comments)

Esmeralda (BE-43) is the longest sailing ship in the world, and the second tallest. Construction was started in 1946 and finished in 1953. It serves as a training ship for the Chilean Navy.
