It's disheartening to me to see some of the writing — and I use that word loosely — on Facebook, Twitter, and even here at ActiveRain. Throughout the years, though, I've kind of gotten used to it, although I still find it extremely difficult to participate in it. One of the things that I have done, though, is learned to make my paragraphs smaller, even if it means putting "paragraph breaks" where they would not occur in standard writing. activerain blogs: Putting mouseover text with your pictures - 03/30/10 12:51 PM
I often like to hide messages in my pictures using mouseover text, and recently I had a couple of requests to teach people how to put mouseover text with their pictures. It's really pretty simple but it is not necessarily intuitive. Place your mouse over any picture, hold it steady for about a second, and if there is an mouseover text, it will magically appear. With each new post to my blog, I use a different picture of my cat. How ironic, perhaps, that the last picture in my old pictures directory is the one here since it might go well with the nature of this post. I'm not usually on ActiveRain at this time of night, but I feel like I just finished writing the millionth offer for this Client over the past three months and wanted to wind down my day by reading a few blogs.
