children: If you want the truth, ask a child - 10/18/09 07:12 PM
I often learn a lot from children because their perspective on the world has not yet been damaged by religion, politics, parents, and others. They have not yet been brainwashed. Harsh, perhaps, but, I believe, true.
Children not only say the darndest things, but they often ask the darndest questions. Courts love it when there are child witnesses because children don't yet have the mental capacity to create elaborate stories, so asking the same question on consecutive days often elicits the same answer, which is often the truth, notwithstanding what adults involved might say. "Balloon Boy" is a great current example.

Part of living, in my opinion, is raising the family, so if people were going to do more than just work downtown, there would have to be … (19 comments)
